Elsa Villarreal Campbell & Leroy Lough

Elsa is a native Texan with strong Hispanic roots whose parents loved music and dancing. It was not uncommon to see her parents dancing at the VFW Hall every Saturday night. With dancing in her genes she fell in love with line dancing at her first class over 25 yrs ago and her love for line dancing has remained. Throughout her line dance history she has taught age groups from 5 yrs olds to 90 years old, in small and large groups, in community centers and in bars from Absolute Beginner to High Intermediate level. During normal times she has 2 classes in West U, 2 classes in Bellaire and hosts a Sunday Social quarterly. During the Pandemic she had a Friday Fun Dance Day on Facebook Live from her Home studio.

Leroy is the Bluebonnet Bash DJ and supports Elsa with all her dance related activities. Elsa met Leroy more than 20 years ago while taking 2-Step lessons and the rest, as they say, is history.

Lark & Gordon Small

Gordon started dancing in 1985 and it quickly became a passion. He picked up a few line dances along the way but his main interest was Country 2-Step and West Coast Swing. Gordon and Lark met in 1999, married and ended up in Kentucky in 2003. They started dancing at a local dance hall which led to an interest in line dancing. Gordon started teaching line dance at the local Morgantown, KY Education Center in 2005 and has taught at various places until he retired from teaching in 2024.

Lark is keeping track of the registrations and helping with other activities for the Texas Bluebonnet Line Dance Bash.
